Tea Associates began in 2020 when founder, Kerry, retired from her corporate career. Born and raised in Bendigo, Kerry has always had a passion for tea. Inspired by her local community and a desire to create something meaningful, Kerry launched Tea Associates with just three tea blends. Kerry dedicated herself to sourcing the highest quality ingredients, working with Australian Fairtrade suppliers, and offering our nourishing teas in plastic-free packaging to align with our environmental commitment and vision.
In 2022, Kerry’s daughter, Jordy, joined the team, bringing her expertise as an Accredited Practising Dietitian. Jordy is passionate about health and wellness through good nutrition, mindfulness practices, good quality sleep, and stress reduction. Her dedication to integrating tea into a holistic approach to wellbeing makes her an invaluable addition to the team.
Kerry: “I have always been passionate about tea, beginning in childhood as the daughter of Irish parents. I’m so proud that I can share my passion of creating beautiful blends for you”.
Jordy: “I have conversations with my patients all the time the benefits of bringing a sense of calm to their lifestyles and slowing down, particularly when eating and drinking. I understand the benefits of incorporating mindfulness practices into daily life and I love that there is such a strong connection between my own education & training and the act of making and drinking a cup of tea that is made from nourishing, high-quality ingredients”.
Every part of the Tea Associates journey has been carefully considered, with so much love and care invested into every single blend. It’s an extension of us both!
Our Tea Associates logo is Celtic in design, representing our Irish heritage, whilst the blends are a strong representation of our birthplaces, Bendigo. The concept itself features an elegant logo created from the circular repetition of a love heart and tea leaf illustration.
Our Artisan tea logo symbolises many things: a love of tea and one’s health, coming together with friends and loved ones, or just taking a pause to enjoy the ritual of brewing and drinking a cup of tea. Nurturing human connections through tea is at the heart of what we do. We aim to create moments of connection and conversation, where people can come together over a cup of tea, share stories, and build relationships.
We promote wellness by encouraging our customers to take moments of pause and mindfulness in their daily lives, appreciating the simple joys that tea brings.
The Golden Leaf Awards are judged by an expert panel including experienced chefs, winemakers, coffee specialists, food and wine journalists, and respected tea masters. The awards showcase the very best in specialty tea.
