Tea Associates began in 2019 when Kerry retired from her corporate career. Born and raised in Bendigo, Kerry has lived here for most of her life and always had a passion for tea.
Inspired by her local community and a desire to create something meaningful, Kerry started Tea Associates with just three blends (Ginga, Bendigo Billy, and Sassy). Countless hand-blended recipe experiments and refinements were made, and Tea Associates was born. Kerry dedicated herself to sourcing the highest quality ingredients, working only with select suppliers, and investing in packaging that aligns with our environmental commitment and vision.
In 2022, Kerry’s daughter, Jordy, joined the team, bringing her expertise as a dietitian. Jordy is passionate about health and wellness through good nutrition, mindfulness practices, optimal sleep, and stress reduction. Her dedication to integrating tea into a holistic approach to wellbeing makes her an invaluable addition to the team. Together, Kerry and Jordy look forward to growing Tea Associates and continuing to bring high-quality, environmentally conscious tea to our community and beyond.
Our Tea Associates logo is Celtic in design, representing our Irish heritage, whilst the blends are a strong representation of our birthplaces, Bendigo. The concept itself features an elegant logo created from the circular repetition of a love heart and tea leaf illustration.
Our Artisan tea logo symbolises many things: a love of tea and one’s health, coming together with friends and loved ones, or just taking a pause to enjoy the ritual of brewing and drinking a cup of tea. Nurturing human connections through tea is at the heart of what we do. We aim to create moments of connection and conversation, where people can come together over a cup of tea, share stories, and build relationships.
We promote wellness by encouraging our customers to take moments of pause and mindfulness in their daily lives, appreciating the simple joys that tea brings.
Jordy, our Accredited Practising Dietitian, brings a wealth of knowledge about nutrition and wellness to our tea blends. With her expertise, we ensure that our teas not only taste wonderful but also focus on improving one’s health and wellbeing. Jordy understands the importance of hydration, antioxidants, and the calming ritual of tea, and she collaborates with Kerry, to ensure our teas support these values.
It is our mission to deliver high quality, environmentally friendly, and health-focused tea to our customers. Right from our beginning, we have been dedicated to sourcing and creating pure and high-quality teas that are free from plastics and micro-plastics, with biodegradable qualities to support the health of our consumers and the planet.
Our biodegradable tea bags are made from NeoSoilon®, a 100% Polylactic Acid (PLA) mesh filter made from non-GMO sugar cane, ensuring the optimal tea drinking experience. Our ingredients are organic wherever possible, and we work closely with our Fairtrade suppliers to ensure ethical sourcing.
